The Tech Zone has published a step-by-step photo tutorial for giving your keyboard a very thorough cleaning.

This method, unlike the usual canned-air method, involves removing every key and really cleaning every nook and cranny of your keyboard with common household items. While this may not be the best method for everyone, it's definitely worth considering if your keyboard goes "crunch" every time you press a key.
